What is interlock fabric?

Interlock fabric is a variant of rib knitting, it is a knitted fabric that made of two rib tissues compounded with each other, so it is also called double-sided fabric. The fabric has soft feel, good elasticity, uniform surface, clear grain, better stability than jersey fabric and rib fabric. Interlock fabric is commonly used in People's Daily life, it is used more and more widely, not only limited to do clothes, but also can be used in all aspects of life.

The raw material of interlock fabric is mostly cotton yarn with thread density of 14-28 tex, the twist is slightly smaller than that of jersey fabric yarn, so as to increase the softness of cotton jersey. Blended interlock fabrics are mainly cotton blended and chlorine cotton blended, chemical fiber fabrics are acrylic interlock fabric, polyester interlock fabric and spandex interlock fabric.

Interlock fabric has the characteristics of thick, soft, good warmth preservation and no curling. Due to the nature of their construction, they have good built-in stretch, resilience and retain their original shape over time.

Interlock fabric is widely used to sewing cotton jersey, sweatshirts, outerwear, vests, briefs, pajamas and so on.
